B-B-Q and Social Night
Saturday 13 March 2004 @ The Teacher’s Centre
Rain could not dampen the spirit of 60 STU
members, their family and friends, on Saturday. B.B.Q. pits had to be placed
“undercover” and despite almost being “smoked-out” enthusiasm never got the
better of us. Some over-estimated the cooking time and had a little
over-done satay but on the whole we had a great time.
To music by EZ4U, we danced the
night away. There was line-dancing every time the band took a break.
Surprise item of the evening was an introduction to Afro-Jive
Aerobics by Annet and her daughter Beryl. We intend to have classes at STU
as soon we et a reasonable number. Call STU for more information.
The Social & Recreation Committee would like to thank everyone who
attended for their support. Our next function is “Spicy Singapore”.
Come and taste the best Indian, Chinese, Malay and European food.
Spicy Singapore – 04 July 04
July 4 Sunday, keep this day free. Come on down to the Teachers' Centre for
a special lunch.
We intend to have the food of the 4
main ethnic races in Singapore. Come and discover what secret spices and
herbs are used in the various cuisines.
We also plan to have a car--boot sale. If you have good second-hand things
to sell you can rent a car-park space and sell your things.
Call Isabella @ 6452 4403 for more information.
